Transformation Brief.
The aim of this project was to build on skill aquired in second year, while also helping to identify a personal style. It was also to discover the 'exrtaordinary in the everyday'. Using modelling and drape to explore your individual design potential, while using recycled clothing as your material.
The process by which we were to undertake this project was through exploration , analysing, de-constructing and re-forming two commonplace garments for example.....
de-construct - examine elements of selected items. look at how it is constructed, seams, finishes, characteristics of the fabric etc. taking elements apart. work on stand with selected garments. keeping documentation thruoghout the process with drawing and photography
Stage 2:
use the stand work to design 2 mini collections(4 outfits). Season and market your own choice.
